Abdominal Aneurysm: Introduction
A localized widening or bulging of an abdominal artery or vein. The bulging section is usually weakened and may rupture which can have very serious consequences depending on the which blood vessel is affected.
Symptoms of Abdominal Aneurysm
- Often asymptomatic until the aneurysm reaches a large size
- Upper abdominal and back pain
- Pulsatile lump in abdomen
- Severe upper abdominal or back pain radiating to back or groin
