Adenoid disorders
Introduction: Adenoid disorders
Any of a number of conditions that involves the adenoids. The adenoids are situated above the tonsils and consist of lymphatic tissue which helps protect against upper respiratory tract infections. Adenoid disorders generally result in swelling of the adenoids which can disrupt breathing - especially while sleeping.
Symptoms of Adenoid disorders
- Sore throat
- Enlarged tonsils
- Cervical adenopathy
- Fever
- Pharyngeal erythema
