Anorexia: Introduction

Anorexia is a general medical term referring to appetite loss rather than weight loss. However, anorexia in common usage refers to the medical condition of anorexia nervosa. For more detailed discussion of this psychological/emotional eating disorder, see anorexia nervosa.
