Anxiety attack
Anxiety attack: Introduction
The psychology profession does not make any distinction between an anxiety attack and a panic attack, and considers an anxiety attack to be another name for a panic attack. However, it may be appropriate to consider an anxiety attack as a less severe attack than a panic attack. An anxiety attack is a suddenly occurring attack of excessive anxiety. An anxiety attack may also be a panic attack if it includes irrational feelings of panic, terror, or fear.
