Introduction: Asbestos poisoning
A general term which refers to any adverse health effect caused by exposure to asbestos. Asbestos poisoning can occur when asbestos fibres are inhaled or ingested. The effects of asbestos poisoning (asbestosis, mesothelioma, lung cancer etc) can take as long as forty years to occur.
