Bartholin's cyst: Introduction

The Bartholin's glands provide lubrication for the vagina. Any blockages in the ducts will prevent the fluid from exiting and hence result in a build-up called Bartholin's cyst. The condition is generally quite uncommon and occurs mostly in women aged in their twenties.
