Biotin deficiency: Introduction

Lack of vitamin H. Biotin (Vitamin H) is a member of the B-vitamin family and good sources are found in egg yolk, kidney, milk, soya, barley, Brewer's yeast and royal jelly. A compound in raw egg whites prevents the absorption of Biotin and can hence lead to Biotin deficiency if a diet is high in raw egg whites.
