Bleeding disorders

Bleeding disorders: Introduction

A general term for a number of conditions that stops the blood from clotting and hence results in bleeding. The disorder can be related to problems with the blood vessel or problems with the blood itself. Certain medications such as aspirin and other anticoagulants can reduce the bloods ability to clot and result in prolonged bleeding times.
