Prognosis of Brain cancer
Prognosis of Brain cancer: In general, the probable outcome is fairly poor. For many people with metastatic brain tumors, the cancer spreads to other areas of the body. Death often occurs within 2 years. ...see also Overview of Brain cancer
Prognosis for Brain cancer: Symptoms of brain and spinal cord tumors generally develop slowly and worsen over time unless they are treated. The tumor may be classified as benign or malignant and given a numbered score that reflects how malignant it is. This score can help doctors determine how to treat the tumor and predict the likely outcome, or prognosis, for the patient. Life Expectancy and Survival Rates
Average life years lost from Brain cancer: 24.6 years for brain/CNS cancers (SEER)1 ...see also deaths and Brain cancer

Recurrence of Brain cancer
Regular followup is very important after treatment for a brain tumor. The doctor will check closely to make sure that the tumor has not returned. Checkups usually include general physical and neurologic exams. From time to time, the patient will have CT scans or MRIs. (Source: excerpt from What You Need To Know About Brain Tumors: NCI)

About prognosis:
The 'prognosis' of Brain cancer usually refers to the likely outcome of Brain cancer. The prognosis of Brain cancer may include the duration of Brain cancer, chances of complications of Brain cancer, probable outcomes, prospects for recovery, recovery period for Brain cancer, survival rates, death rates, and other outcome possibilities in the overall prognosis of Brain cancer. Naturally, such forecast issues are by their nature unpredictable.
