Broken foot

Broken foot: Introduction

A break or fracture in any of the foot bones. A broken foot is most commonly caused by falls or by dropping something onto the foot. Each foot has 26 bones. A broken foot often means that the patient has to use crutches to stay mobile while allowing the foot to mend.
