Glossary for Chronic headache

• Chronic tension headache: Chronic headache affecting the occiput of the head often due to overwork or stress.
• Cluster headache: Headache that occurs periodically, with active periods interrupted by spontaneous remissions.
• Common Headache: Common headache that everyone occasionally gets.
• Common migraine: Migraine headaches are recurrent headaches that may be unilateral or bilateral. Migraine headaches may occur with or without a prodrome. The aura of a migraine may consist of neurologic symptoms, such as dizziness, tinnitus, scotomas, photophobia, or visual scintillations (eg, bright zigzag lines).
• Glaucoma: Glaucoma is the term for a diverse group of eye diseases, all of which involve progressive damage to the optic nerve. Glaucoma is usually, but not always, accompanied by high intraocular (internal) fluid pressure. Optic nerve damage produces certain characteristic visual field defects in the individual's peripheral (side), as well as central, vision.

• Headache: In medicine a headache or cephalalgia is a symptom of a number of different conditions of the head and sometimes neck. Some of the causes are benign while others are medical emergencies. It ranks among the most common pain complaints
• Hypertension: High blood pressure
• Muscle contraction headache: Headache from tension or muscle contraction.
• Refractive Eye Disorders: Any disorder that affects the ability of the eye to focus on an object
• Tolosa-Hunt Syndrome: A rare disorder characterized by severe headaches and paralysis and weakness of eye muscles.
• Tumor: Any type of lump or swelling (not just cancers)
• Whiplash: Neck injury often from a car accident.
