Genetic-chromosomal: Genetic diseases affecting entire chromosomes
Introduction: A chromosome disorder is a disease where all or most of a chromosome is affected. A chromosome is a large sequence of DNA containing thousands of genes. Normal humans have a 46 chromosomes, consisting of 23 pairs. Chromosomes 1..22 are called autosomes, and the last pair consists of X chromosome and Y chromosome conditions (normal men are XY and women are XX in the last pair).
