Introduction: This group of diseases refers to disorders that affect the entire chromosome of an autosome. For example, various trisomy disorders such as Down syndrome affect an entire non-sex chromosome (i.e. autosome). For diseases that affect only a single gene on an autosome, see autosomal genetic diseases.
