Genetic-chromosomal-trisomy: Conditions caused by triplets of chromosomes instead of pairs

Introduction: Normal humans have a 46 chromosomes, consisting of 23 pairs. Chromosomes 1..22 are called autosomes, and the last pair consists of X chromosome and Y chromosome conditions (normal men are XY and women are XX in the last pair). Trisomy refers to having a triplet instead of a pair. A triplet can affect an autosome such as trisomy 21 (Down syndrome) or can also affect the sex chromosomes (e.g. XXX or even XXXX disorders)
