Turning outwards or eversion of a part of the body. This is usually used in reference to the eyelid where the eyelid is turned out which exposes the inside of the eyelid and some of the eyeball. The condition may affect one or both eyelids and often results from facial nerve paralysis or atrophy of eyelid tissue in older people.
