Glossary for Electrocution

  • Chest pain: Pain in the chest area.
  • Hemoglobinuria: A medical term for the presence of blood in the urine. There are a large number of serious and benign conditions that can cause large or small amounts of blood in the urine.
  • Hypovolemia: An abnormal decrease in volume of blood.
  • Pain: A feeling of suffering, agony, distress caused by the stimulation of pain fibres in the nervous system
  • Palpitations: The subjective sensation of the beating of the heart at a rapid or irregular rate
  • Tetany: Sensation changes and muscle symptoms from low blood calcium
  • Tingling: Tingling, prickling, or pins-and-needles sensations
