Eye Herpes
Introduction: Eye Herpes
An infection of the eye caused by the herpes simplex virus. It is also known as ocular herpes and herpes keratitis. The inflammation of the eye caused by the herpes virus can spread from the surface layers to deeper parts of the cornea and can have serious complications especially if untreated.
Symptoms of Eye Herpes
- Sore and red eye
- Scratchy sensation in eye
- Sensation of foreign body in eye
- Light sensitivity
- Blurry vision
