Gastrointestinal Anthrax

Introduction: Gastrointestinal Anthrax

Exposure of the digestive system to anthrax usually by consuming meat products that contain anthrax. It is a severe and often fatal form of anthrax characterized by fever, vomiting, abdominal pain and bloody diarrhea followed by toxemia, shock and death. The anthrax is a disease caused by the spores of the Bacillus anthracis bacteria.
