Grief or loss: Introduction
Grieving usually refers to the loss of a person from death.
However, any type of loss can cause emotional or even physical symptoms.
Some examples of non-death loss would include relationship breakup, divorce,
or other loss.
The medical term "grief or loss" is usually used to refer to the
constellation of similar symptoms that any type of loss may cause.
