High altitude cerebral edema



High altitude cerebral edema: Introduction

A type of altitude sickness affecting the brain that is serious and potentially fatal. Exposure to high altitudes, leaking fluid causes the brain tissue to swell. Anyone displaying symptoms of the condition should immediately descend to lower altitudes and seek medical attention.
