A congenital abnormality of the reproductive and sexual organs which in some cases can make it difficult to determine the sex of the child. There is much debate over who gets to decide what gender the child should be - the child or the parents. Examples of types of intersex conditions are Turner Syndrome, Klinefelter syndrome and Jacobs syndrome.
