Glossary for Keloid

  • Buschke Ollendorff syndrome: A rare condition involving elastin abnormalities and characterized by a mottled bone appearance and yellowish skin papules
  • Possible human carcinogenic exposure - Bleomycin: Some evidence indicates that exposure to Bleomycin has a possible link to an increased risk of developing cancer in humans. The carcinogenicity of the substance may be influenced by the duration and level of exposure. Bleomycin is used primarily as a chemotherapy drug.
  • Torticollis, keloids, cryptorchidism, renal dysplasia: A rare genetic condition characterized by undescended testes, kidney defects, torticollis and the formation of keloids which are scar-like elevations on the skin. The symptoms occur in males though females carriers can have mild symptoms.
