Knee injury: Introduction
Any injury involving the knee. The knee is the area surrounding the knee joint which is one of the largest joints in the body as it has to cope with a lot of pressure. The end of the thigh bone and the top of the lower leg bones are attached to the kneecap. Knee injuries can result from a sudden trauma causing a dislocation, sprain or break as well as from repetitive motions such as running or jumping.
