Latex allergies

Latex allergies: Introduction

A body's abnormal hypersensitive response to contact with latex which is a natural rubber product found in such things as rubber gloves and balloons. A person's allergic response to latex may be mild or severe and can range from sneezing to anaphylactic shock. Gloves used by medical professionals tend to be made of latex but due to the increasing incidence of latex allergy, other types of gloves are being increasingly used.
