Glossary for Lymphangiomas

  • Angioma: Clump of blood or lymph vessels usually in the skin
  • Bannayan-Zonana syndrome: A rare genetic disorder characterized by macrocephaly, intestinal polyposis, pigmentation of penis and benign tumor-like growths.
  • Breast Cancer: Cancer of the breast.
  • Cavernous lymphangioma: A birth disorder characterized by a lymphatic swelling under the skin that can be present at birth or occur later.
  • Cystic Hygroma: A progressive condition characterized by a sac filled with lymphatic fluid that forms in the lymphatic system, usually at the nape of the neck but sometimes in other parts of the body.
  • Intestinal obstruction: Blockage in the intestines of the digestive tract.
  • Macrodactyly - Hemihypertrophy - Connective tissue nevi syndrome: A birth disorder characterized manily by large toes, large head, skin pigmentation anomaly and asymmetrical face and arm.
