Magnesium deficiency



Introduction: Magnesium deficiency

Insufficient magnesium levels in the body. Magnesium is a trace mineral needed by the body for such things as enzyme activity. Magnesium deficiency can cause nervous system irritability, widening of blood vessels (vasodilation), convulsions, tremor, depression and psychotic behavior. Green vegetables, nuts and grains are a good source of magnesium.
