McCune-Albright Syndrome



Introduction: McCune-Albright Syndrome

A genetic condition characterized by irregularities in skin pigmentation (café-au-lait spots), bone disease and endocrine (hormone-producing system) problems. The bone diseases can cause bone weakness and deformities in the legs arms and skull. The endocrine disease can cause early puberty and increased rate of growth. Sufferers are affected by the various characteristics of the disease to different degrees - some people may have the condition and have no noticeable problems.
