Abdominal mesothelioma: Mesothelioma of the abdomen is called peritoneal mesothelioma.
Abdominal mesothelioma: Peritoneal mesothelioma is a type of mesothelioma affecting the peritoneum (abdominal membrane). However, there are also other types of mesothelioma affecting the pleura (lung membrane) called pleural mesothelioma, and pericardium (heart membrane) called pericardial mesothelioma.
