Arbitration: The resolution of lawsuits, such as medical malpractice outside of the courts by an arbitrator or arbitration panel.
Arbitration: Arbitration is an alternative dispute resolution mechanism to the courts and juries. Decisions by arbitration are usually made by a single arbitrator or an arbitration panel, rather than a jury. An arbitrator may be a judge or a professional experienced in the area of the lawsuit. Arbitration is supported by various features of law that can make it effective and binding. Arbitration is not the same as mediation. Consult an attorney or professional legal adviser for advice.
Always seek professional legal advice from an attorney or other qualified legal professional
about medical malpractice, wrongful death, personal injury, or any other legal issue.
