Asbestos-related mesothelioma: Mesothelioma is a type of cancer believed related to asbestos. The exposure to asbestos may even cause mesothelioma many years later. Mesothelioma is typically similar to lung cancer, but there are also other types of mesothelioma affecting the heart (pericardial mesothelioma) and abdomen (peritoneal mesothelioma).
