Description of Agnathia

Agnathia: A condition where the lower jaw is totally or partially absent. Also called agnathy.

Agnathia: In the diphthong gn, the g is silent only at the beginning of a word. Congenital absence of the mandible, usually accompanied by approximation of the ears.otocephaly, synotia. [G. a- priv. + gnathos, jaw]
