Introduction: Association test

Description of Association test

Association test: a test in which a word (stimulus word) is spoken to the subject, who is to reply immediately with another word (reaction word) suggested by the first; used as a diagnostic aid in psychiatry and psychology, clues being given by the length of time (association time) between the stimulus and reaction words and by the nature of the reaction words.
