Introduction: Benedikt's syndrome

Description of Benedikt's syndrome

Benedikt's syndrome (medical condition): Damage to a part of the brain (intremedullary part of midbrain) can result in various neurological symptoms which can vary depending on the exact location and extent of the damage. Limb and trunk symptoms tend to be on the opposite side the eye symptoms. The damage may be caused by such things as trauma, cancer and stroke.
