Bone and bone: A specialized CONNECTIVE TISSUE that is the main constituent of the SKELETON. The principle cellular component of bone is comprised of OSTEOBLASTS, OSTEOCYTES and OSTEOCLASTS, while FIBRILLAR COLLAGENS and hydoxyapatite crystals form the BONE MATRIX.
