Frontal lobe as an Organ

Frontal lobe (organ): The frontal lobe is one of four paired functional sections or divisions of the cerebrum. The frontal lobe is located in the upper front region of the cerebrum and is involved with controlling emotions, reasoning, problem solving, planning, speech, and voluntary movement. The frontal lobe contains the motor areas, premotor areas, prefrontal cortex, and Broca's motor speech area.

Conditions that can afflict the frontal lobe include cerebral palsy, meningitis, subdural hematoma, cancer, inflammation, stroke, genetic disorders, hemorrhage, infection, and encephalitis.
