Description of Gastrointestinal stromal tumor

Gastrointestinal stromal tumor (medical condition): Cancer that develops from stroma cells in the wall of the gastrointestinal tract. The primary locations are the small intestine, esophagus and esophagus with symptoms being determined by the location, stage and size of the tumor.
