Hallermann-Streiff syndrome (HSS): A bulging skull with brachycephaly, beaked nose, cataracts, microphthalmia and receding chin giving the face its peculiar bird-like appearance. Associated defects include hypotrichosis, short stature, occasional mental deficiency and skeletal, hepatic, muscular, and renal anomalies.
