Noradrenaline: A catecholamine hormone that functions as a neurotransmitter in the sympathetic nervous system, producing alpha-adrenergic (vasoconstriction) and beta(1)-adrenergic stimulation (increase myocardial contractility, heart rate, automaticity, and AV conduction), and beta(2)-adrenergic activity (peripheral vasodilation).(NCI)
