Description of Normetanephrine

Normetanephrine: A catabolite of norepinephrine found, in the serum, urine and some tissues, resulting from the action of catechol-O-methyltransferase on norepinephrine; has no sympathomimetic actions. Used in the diagnosis of pheochromocytoma.
