Introduction: Oriental sore

Description of Oriental sore

Oriental sore (medical condition): A localized skin infection spread by sandflies and caused by Leishmania tropica. Infections are most common in South America, Midddle East, Mediterranean and Africa. The incubation period lasts from weeks to months.
