Pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma: a rare variant of astrocytoma usually presenting early in life with seizures. The tumor is superficially located and composed of pleomorphic glial cells, lipidized astrocytes, and perivascular lymphocytes. SYN: xanthoastrocytoma.
