Postpartum: After childbirth.
Postpartum: Written as one word when used as an adjective (postpartum hemorrhage) but as two words when used as an adverbial phrase (hemorrhage occurring post partum). After childbirth. Cf.: antepartum, intrapartum [L. partus, birth (noun), fr. pario, pp. partus, to bring forth]

Postpartum: occurring after childbirth or delivery, with reference to the mother; period from delivery of the placenta until return of the reproductive organs to their normal nonpregnant morphologic state; in humans generally six to eight weeks.
