Pubococcygeus (muscle): [TA] anterior part of the levator ani, arising from the pelvic surface of the body of the pubis and adjacent tendinous arch of obturator fascia, attaching to the coccyx. SYN: musculus pubococcygeus [TA], pubococcygeal muscle.
