X-linked infantile hypogammaglobulinemia (medical condition): A rare X-linked disorder involving a deficiency of circulating B-cells which results in an increased susceptibility to infection. When an infant is born, the mother's antibodies offer it some protection but when these antibodies disappear, the infant becomes prone to infections.
