A report from the Seoul National University shows that, in Korea, more than 19% of women and 8% of men over the age of 40 have osteoporosis. Older people and those who are overweight are at greater risk. Also, the presence of a gene mutation related to bone absorption resulted in greater risk of contracting the disease also.
