40 percent of city's young children have asthma

A professor from the Institute For Child Health Research has revealed that 40% of children in the city of Perth, Australia have asthma by the time they reach the age of six. He claims that air pollution as well as things inside our home such as cleaning products, glues etc are to blame for this high prevalence rate. Smoking is still a big risk factor.
