Best practice for asthma medication

Previous assessment of successful asthma management with medication was analyzed though lung function tests, frequency of use of relievers, symptom control and peak flow measurements, yet patients do not always perceive the measurable benefits with improved quality of life. Control of their condition with a long acting bronchodilator, and inhaled steroid and a steroid tablet was used in the trial to gain an understanding of overall effectiveness and acceptance of asthma medications. Measurable benefits were found not to correlate with patient observed benefits for the three types of asthma medications.
