Cockroach allergy very common

Cockroach allergies are just as common as dust allergies and may be commonly confused with other household allergies including dust mite, pet and mould allergies. Cockroach allergies can be developed from their saliva, cuticle (outer shell), eggs and feces. Symptoms of the allergy include exacerbations of asthma, runny or stuffy nose, chronic sinusitis, recurrent ear infections and a skin rash. Treatment of cockroach allergies is the same as dust allergies with antihistamines, decongestants, anti-inflammatory drugs and avoidance of areas that would be infested with cockroaches. Regularly fumigating the house against the pest and removing sources of food and hospitable living conditions for roaches is recommended.
