Drug approved for treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy



Cymbalta has been recently approved by the FDA for use in pain management for sufferers of diabetic peripheral neuropathy. 62% of diabetic patients will develop this condition and is associated with sensations of burning, tingling and numbness. Clinical trials of the product have shown significant pain relief in many and the main side effects were nausea, dry mouth, constipation, diarrhea, dizziness and hot flashes.
