Drug coated stents reduce reblockage incidence in heart arteries

Clinical trials have demonstrated that using a sirolimus-eluting coronary stent as opposed to a bare metal stent, reduced the incidence of treated arteries being reblocked by about 5 times. The national Heart Lung Institute claims that women tend to be undiagnosed and undertreated for heart problems with is the number one killer of women in America.
